Hogwarts Legacy had the most successful video game launch of 2023 and for good reason. The Wizarding World has been waiting decades for a game of this quality. The result is an open-world RPG that stands on its own feet — you do not need to be a Harry Potter fan to love it.
The World
Hogwarts Castle is the centrepiece and it is spectacular. Every corner has detail. The surrounding regions — Hogsmeade, the Forbidden Forest, rolling highlands — expand the map without padding it. Side quests feel purposeful rather than filler.
Magic Combat System
Spell-slinging combat starts accessible and gets deep. Combining spells, using environmental objects as weapons, and adapting to different enemy types keeps fights interesting across the 40+ hour campaign.
Performance Note for Kenya
On PS5 and Xbox Series X, the game runs beautifully at 60fps in performance mode. Loading times are near-instant thanks to SSD architecture. The experience justifies the hardware investment.
