God of War Ragnarök Review: The Best PS5 Game Worth Every Shilling
Santa Monica Studio's sequel is a cinematic masterpiece with combat depth that rivals any action game ever made. Here is why it belongs in every Kenyan PS5 library.

God of War Ragnarök is not just a sequel. It is a statement about what PlayStation exclusives can achieve. After 30 hours with it, it stands comfortably alongside the greatest games ever made.
Combat is the Star
The Leviathan Axe from the 2018 original returns, refined and expanded. Blades of Chaos build on their previous role. Every fight demands attention — enemy types require different approaches, and the sheer variety of encounters prevents the combat from ever feeling repetitive across the full length of the game.
A Story Worth Experiencing Blind
The narrative goes places the first game only hinted at. Kratos and Atreus' relationship evolves in ways that surprise even players who finished the 2018 game multiple times. It is the kind of story that makes you sit with it after the credits roll.
Performance on PS5
Performance Mode at 60fps is the way to play. The game is fluid, responsive, and visually stunning at 60fps. Fidelity Mode at 4K 30fps is beautiful but the combat feels better at the higher frame rate.
Kenya Value Assessment
At KSh 6,700 on flash deal pricing at GameStop Kenya, this is one of the best-value games in the library. The campaign runs 25–35 hours with substantial side content that does not feel like padding. Pre-owned copies are also available.
