EA FC 25 Review: Is It Worth KSh 12,700 for Kenyan Football Fans?

Football games are the cultural centrepiece of Kenyan gaming. Whether it is casual weekend matches with friends or serious online ranked play, EA FC 25 is what the majority of Kenyan console owners play most. Here is whether this year's entry justifies the price.

What's New in FC 25

FC IQ — a tactical intelligence system — is the headline change. Players now make smarter runs, hold positions better, and adapt dynamically to your formation. In practice, this makes the defensive AI noticeably better and goals feel more earned when you break through.

Ultimate Team

UT remains the most-played mode and the most monetised. If you plan to spend only the base price and nothing else, the free-to-earn path is slower than in FC 24 but still viable. Budget squads built from earnable packs perform well in lower divisions.

Kenyan Community Modes

Pro Clubs continues to be where Kenyan gaming crews compete as a team. The addition of cross-platform Pro Clubs means PS5 players can now compete with Xbox players — expanding the Kenyan player pool significantly.

Verdict for Kenya

If you own FC 24 and are casual, the upgrade is marginal. If you play seriously online or in clubs, FC IQ changes enough to make FC 25 a worthwhile upgrade. At KSh 12,700 new or look for pre-owned copies at GameStop Kenya for savings.
