Cyberpunk 2077 launched infamously broken in 2020. By 2025, after the 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty DLC, it is one of the best RPGs on any platform. If you skipped it at launch, 2025 is the time.
What the 2.0 Update Changed
The skill tree was completely redesigned. Police AI now reacts realistically — they actually chase you rather than spawning behind you. Vehicle combat was added. Cyberware has a rework that makes build diversity genuinely interesting. The game that launched in 2020 and the game you can buy today are meaningfully different.
Phantom Liberty
The DLC is a spy thriller set in a new district of Night City. Idris Elba's Solomon Reed is one of the best characters in any game this generation. The DLC adds 20+ hours of content and a new ending for the base game. It is required.
Performance on PS5
The PS5 version runs at a stable 60fps in performance mode. Night City looks extraordinary — the level of detail, lighting, and world density is unmatched. Ray tracing on the PS5's fidelity mode is stunning if you can accept 30fps.
Kenya Value
The Ultimate Edition (base game + Phantom Liberty) at GameStop Kenya gives you 80+ hours of content. At current pricing, it is exceptional value.
Base Game: 9/10 | Phantom Liberty: 9.5/10
