The DualSense Wireless Controller is the reason PS5 game feel is fundamentally different from any previous PlayStation. Adaptive Triggers and Haptic Feedback are not gimmicks — they change how games feel in ways that have to be experienced to understand.
Adaptive Triggers
L2 and R2 can be programmed by games to resist your input dynamically. In Returnal, pulling the trigger halfway activates alternate fire modes. In Gran Turismo 7, braking triggers communicate the grip limit of your tyres under braking. In Astro's Playroom (free with every PS5), arrows feel different from bow tension. Haptic Feedback
